Software Pre-Requisites:
  - Java 2 Standard Edition: Java SE 1.8 or higher
  - Apache Ant (click here if you need help with Java/Ant installation)
  - MS Excel or OpenOffice or Google Docs (for rules and forms editing only)
  - Eclipse SDK (optional, for complex project management only)

Installation
Download the following file

• openrules_8.1.0.models.zip (~20 Mb) - samples of OpenRules decision models

and unzip it to your hard-drive.  After unzip, the workspace “openrules.models” will contain executable sample projects with goal-oriented decision models. Each project has its own subdirectory such as "Hello". OpenRules libraries and related templates are located in the configuration project “openrules.config”. You may execute any project by double-clicking on the file “run.bat” from a regular Window Explorer. 

To start using OpenRules within Eclipse IDE, simply import all projects from the downloaded folder openrules.decisions” into your Eclipse workspace. To take advantages of the Eclipse Plugin, install it directly from your Eclipse using the following URL:

Notes.
1) Under Windows, you cannot have spaces in the path where OpenRules is installed. So, instead of the installation path such as "c:\Program Files\openrules" you would rather use something like "c:\openrules".
2) If you use Linux/Unix, you should rename “run.bat”  to “run.sh” (and make the proper changes).
