Release 3.0.0
EDISON, NJ -- September 18, 2006 -- OpenRules, Inc. announced today the availability of OpenRules-3, a new major release that dramatically simplifies the configuration and integration of OpenRules-based applications. The list of major improvements includes:
-
Zero-Configuration:
- No more complex Ant-based configuration and properties files
- Excel-files with rules “know” which Java packages and classes they may need (if any) and where all related Excel and XML files are located
- There is only
one required OpenRules jar file
and an optional OpenRules tools library
- Support for
Enterprise-class Business Rules Repositories:
- A powerful hierarchy of inter-related Excel-based rulebooks can be located in a local file system or at a remote web site
- A flexible and intuitive repository configuration interface that is suitable for business users
- A smooth
integration with
Google Spreadsheets, MS Excel or OpenOffice,
Subversion or CVS
- Simplified
integration with the latest web application servers
including:
- IBM WebSphere
- BEA WebLogic
- Apache Tomcat
